One night I was working as a shift supervisor at the police department and was training a new Officer.  I knew that this Officer had to go to the local airport just after midnight. The airport is about two miles out of town and is closed at this time of the night.  We have to keep a check on the airplanes and make sure no one is breaking into the buildings.

     Just before midnight, my partner and I decided we would play a joke on the new Officer, so we went to Wal-Mart and bought some yellow Chem-Lights and some balloons. We cut the tops off the Chem-Lights and poured the glowing liquid into some balloons.  We were going to stick the glowing balloons into the trees at the airport and see what the new officer would do when he saw them, we thought he might think they were u.f.o.s or something. 

    But the joke backfired, after pouring the glowing Chem-Light liquid in, I started to blow up the first balloon, as it got it about half blown up, the balloon busted in my face.  My whole head was glowing bright yellow and the glowing liquid would not come off, the more I wiped it, the brighter it got.  I’m just glad I didn’t have to respond to and emergency call afterwards because my head and face glowed bright yellow for at least an hour.
