Making Anaglyphs using Photoshop and a single camera with a slider bar
01. Using a slider bar on a tripod, take two pictures parallel and approximately 2 ½ inches apart using as small an aperture as possible (f8 or smaller) for good depth of field.
02. Open both pictures in Photoshop.
03. Select Right image.
04. Click IMAGE, ADJUST, LEVELS, Change CHANNELS from RGB to RED and
slide the bottom, right slider all the way to the left so the OUTPUT LEVELS are both 0
05. Select Left image
06. Click IMAGE, ADJUST, LEVELS, Change CHANNELS from RGB to Green and slide the bottom, right slider all the way to the left so the OUTPUT LEVELS are both 0
07. Click IMAGE, ADJUST, LEVELS, Change CHANNELS from RGB to Blue and slide the bottom right slider all the way to the left so the OUTPUT LEVELS are both 0
08. Click right image, click SELECT, ALL.
09. Click EDIT, COPY.
10. Select Right Image.
11. Click EDIT, PASTE.
12. Change the top Layer’s Blending Options from NORMAL to SCREEN.
13. Click the move tool and use arrow buttons to move the top layer to line up the two images while using your Red-Blue glasses.
14. Crop the picture to remove the area that doesn’t overlap.
15. Save Picture as BMP or high quality JPG with another name.
16. Close Photoshop without saving the changes to the original pictures.
